The injection of words to describe a picture may take elaborate curls
as if fixing a young girl's hair. You look at it, make a few changes.
Then you look at it again from different angles, making sure that they
would somehow jive with the person. And then you smile.
Below are works of famous artists, and as I try to "live" their time,
I inject my own recipe of words without loosely inoculating
their tastes. The thoughts are mine to feel and for you to peruse
and I certainly agree that there are better versions. Including yours.

THE DREAM
(Picasso)
Can't you hear me as I cry
in the midst of laughter
clinging to each tear is the feeling
I can keep forever?

WAR AND PEACE
(Picasso)
The canons--silenced now that we're older;
with them they carry scars that never heal
and embraces that were once warm
are now but untraced footprints on the beach.

MOTHER AND CHILD
(Picasso)
The silent screams are worse
when they stay inside your mind.
Let them bring out the joy
for their hearts are young.

STARRY NIGHT
(Van Gogh)
When nights are long I find myself
groping for words to ease tension
as if I can no longer hold on to a
dream I have always longed for.

SUNFLOWERS
(Van Gogh)
When you take a flower in your hand
and really look at it, it's your world
for the moment. (Georgia O'Keefe)

IRISES (LE)
(Van Gogh)
With open hands I scoop you up
and tenderly caress your petals
so soft and gentle.
Words fly out amorously to join
you in a song.

NYMPHEAS EFFET DU SOIR
(Monet)
The stillness of life is reflected on this pond. The sweetness that
lies in it is measured not only in terms of movement but also in the
serenity that dwells. The floating flowers signify the easement
of being carried along by another. Just like a good friend that
you truly can rely on.

WOMAN WITH AN UMBRELLA
(Monet)
These feet shall cherish the footprints left on
the path that leads to where things seldom find fault
to an already ominous situation. Even dark clouds
disappear from view quicker than the eye can behold.
Just be patient.

PONT A ARGENTEUIL
(Monet)
Sunday mornings are easy. One can feel the earth move in
silence. In your heart and mind, there is a feeling of
certainty--a peaceful interlude between lost interests
and gained trusts. Look before you leap.
